Our team comprises the largest oculoplastic and cosmetic surgery group in the Southwest United States, and our practice houses one of just twenty-eight fellowship programs per year in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, a fellowship that is sanctioned by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Additionally, we provide coverage for both ocular and orbital trauma at the California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles, a level 2 trauma center.

Michael A. Burnstine, M.D.
Dr. Michael A. Burnstine trained at the Harvard Medical School where he certified his credentials with his M.D. He received on-field experience through his internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He also completed his residency in ophthalmology at the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor. He received additional training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery under the advanced expertise of Dr. Allen Putterman.
Steven C. Dresner, M.D.
After earning his MD at the University of Michigan Medical School, Dr. Steven C. Dresner enhanced his expertise in general surgery through an internship program at the University of California San Francisco. He concluded his residency in ophthalmology at Louisiana State University, where he excelled in various fields.
His advanced education has molded him into an outstanding leader in the profession, which is exemplified by his teaching as an Associate Clinical Professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine.
Melanie Ho Erb, M.D.
Dr. Melanie Ho Erb received her MD from the University of California Irvine and has augmented her education since. She spent her early years in the Bay Area and moved to the Southland to study in the medical field. During her time at UC Irvine, she completed an internship in surgery that significantly enhanced her credentials. She worked in Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Head and Neck Surgery prior to completing her residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California Irvine.
